Are gadgets helpful or harmful?
For children with special educational needs, gadgets can be both a resource and a risk—it all depends on how and how much they are used.

The benefits of gadgets:
• Speech development through educational apps
• training attention, memory, and fine motor skills
• alternative communication for children who have difficulty speaking
• reduced anxiety through familiar and predictable actions

Possible risks:
• overload of the nervous system
• reduced live interaction with adults and peers
• difficulty concentrating
• development of addiction

At the World of Opportunities Inclusive Center, we recommend:
using gadgets as a tool, not a “babysitter”
clear time limits and understandable rules
live communication, movement, and play are a must

Balance is the key to development!
