Language environment at home

Small daily steps help children better understand and express their thoughts. Here are some tips for parents:

  • Read books together—even just a few pages every day.
  • Name objects and actions during play or everyday activities.
  • Use short, clear phrases—this makes it easier for children to repeat.
  • Ask simple questions: “Would you like an apple or a banana?”
  • Use rhyming games, songs, and counting games.
  • Give your child a chance to express themselves – listen carefully and don’t interrupt.
  • Encourage them to talk about their impressions after a walk or watching a cartoon.
  • Use gestures, pictures, or cards – they support speech.
  • Language is formed through communication.
So every day at home can be a small step towards great success.
