Video on developing self-care skills for children with disabilities, with SEN and without official status, but in need of support

Self-service is an important part of a child’s development.
At the World of Opportunities Inclusive Center, we seek an individual approach to each child, taking into account their abilities and pace.
During classes, we practice:
  • During classes, we practice:
  • cleaning up the workplace after class,
  • playing with toys “Tea Party,”
  • playing “Shop” — my favorite vegetables, fruits, and treats,
  • preparing lunch or dinner for ourselves — cooking therapy,
  • “The alphabet of my mood” and the exercise “Suggest a game yourself.”
What are the results?
  • confidence,
  • development of empathy,
  • understanding of one’s mood and adjustment of emotions,
  • self-concept — what I like and what I don’t like,
  • adaptation to life through everyday practices,
  • self-care — washing hands, dressing for the season for walks, changing shoes.
We also help children understand simple everyday things: what am I busy with every day? — classes, walks, sleep.
Each child gets their own path, their own pace, and their own support. We walk alongside them so that every small step becomes a big victory.
