Social and Daily Living Skills and Adaptation Program

For a family raising a child with a disability or special educational needs, the word “independence” has special significance.

Putting on shoes by themselves.
Waiting their turn.
Reacting more calmly to a new place.
Saying or showing what they need.
Cooking a simple meal together.
Feeling more confident around other children.

These skills don’t develop overnight. They are built gradually—through repetition, support, play, practice, and at the child’s own pace.

That is precisely why the “World of Opportunities” Inclusive Center offers a program focused on social and daily living skills and adaptation.
These are individual sessions lasting 2–3 hours, tailored to each child’s abilities, condition, and needs.

The format is suitable for children who:

  • find it difficult to adapt immediately to a large group;
  • need to proceed at their own pace and require more support;
  • have difficulty coping with noise, new environments, or changes in activities;
  • need preparation for preschool, the center, or group activities;
  • benefit from practicing daily living and social situations in a safe environment.

The program combines play, sensory activities, practical daily living tasks, and role-playing of real-life situations.

Children can learn to prepare simple meals, interact with adults and peers, practice daily living skills, follow simple
instructions, become more aware of their bodies, navigate their surroundings, and gradually gain confidence.

Every small step a child takes is a major achievement for the whole family.
